My dryer runs but doesn't heat. Is that a big repair?
On electric dryers it's most often a heating element, thermal fuse or thermostat. On gas dryers it's commonly an igniter or gas valve coil. These are routine repairs for a local technician, but a blocked vent can cause the same symptom, so mention when the vent was last cleaned.
Does the technician clean the dryer vent too?
